Calculate Your Due Date

Frequently Asked Questions

Due date calculators provide estimates based on average pregnancy length. Only about 4% of babies arrive on their exact due date, and most babies are born within 2 weeks before or after. Your healthcare provider may adjust your due date based on ultrasound measurements, which can be more accurate especially in the first trimester.
The LMP (Last Menstrual Period) method counts 40 weeks (280 days) from the first day of your last period. It assumes ovulation occurs on day 14 of a 28-day cycle. The conception date method counts 38 weeks (266 days) from conception and is more accurate if you know exactly when you conceived.
If your cycle is longer or shorter than 28 days, ovulation likely occurs at a different time. A 32-day cycle typically means ovulation around day 18, while a 24-day cycle means ovulation around day 10. Our calculator adjusts the due date accordingly.
Pregnancy is divided into three trimesters: First trimester (weeks 1-12) is when major organs form. Second trimester (weeks 13-26) is often called the "golden period" as energy returns. Third trimester (weeks 27-40) is when baby gains weight rapidly and prepares for birth.
