6. Account Deletion

KinPatch allows you to request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. To delete your account:

1. Email support@kinpatch.app with the subject "Delete My Account" from the email address associated with your account.
2. We will verify your identity and process your deletion request.
3. You will receive a confirmation email once your account and data have been deleted.

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed within 30 days: your account credentials (email, password hash), profile information (name, phone number, date of birth, avatar), quotes, memories, recipes, time capsule letters, milestones, and event RSVPs you created.

The following data may be retained after account deletion: content you shared within family groups may remain visible to other family members who received it, and anonymized or aggregated data that can no longer be linked to you. We may also retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention) for up to 90 days after deletion.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and provide core functionality. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

Our service is designed for family use. Parents or guardians may create accounts for children under 13 as part of their family group. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without parental consent.
